Admission Guidelines

Admission is open to all respective of caste or creed. A copy of the Birth Certificate from the Registrar of Births and Deaths will be required at the time of admission to LKG/UKG and class 1. Pupils coming from other schools will have to produce a Transfer Certificate issued by the school last attended.

Admission Overview

Admission is open to all students, irrespective of caste, creed, or background. Bihar Mission School warmly welcomes students to experience an enriching, supportive, and joyful learning environment. Our admission process is clear, fair, and transparent. It is carefully designed to make sure that the expectations of parents and students match the school’s values, facilities, and academic standards.

Our Admissions

All parents seeking admission to Bihar Mission School must fill out the prescribed admission form and submit it to the school office along with the following documents:

  • Two recent colour passport-size photographs of the child
  • One passport-size photograph each of the father and mother (separate)
  • A photocopy of the child’s Birth Certificate issued by the Registrar of Births and Deaths
  • A photocopy of the Aadhaar card of the child and both parents

These documents are required at the time of admission to KG-1, KG-2, and Class 1. Students coming from other schools must also submit a Transfer Certificate issued by the last school attended, along with the required admission documents.

Age Eligibility (As on 1st April)

At Bihar Mission School, admissions are granted according to the guidelines of the National Education Policy (NEP). Students must meet the required age criteria as of 1st April of the academic year.

Age Criteria:

  • KG 1: 4 years and above
  • KG 2: 5 years and above
  • Grade 1: 6 years and above
  • Grade 2: 7 years and above
  • And so on for higher grades accordingly

Admission will be granted only to candidates who fulfil the above age requirements.

Admission Process

Pre-Primary (KG 1 & KG 2)

Parents applying for KG 1 and KG 2 must fill out the prescribed Application Form. No formal written test will be conducted for the child. Instead, the child will be observed in a group setting to assess their ability to interact and adjust in a school environment.

Primary (Grade 1 and Above)

Parents seeking admission for Grade 1 and higher classes must complete and submit the prescribed Application Form. The child will be required to appear for a formal written test appropriate to the grade level for which admission is being requested.

After the test and interaction/interview, the school authorities will select candidates according to the school’s rules and guidelines.

The decision of the school authorities regarding selection will be final. Parents and guardians applying for admission to Bihar Mission School are requested to accept this decision as final.
